A-must stop in Oslo is Vigeland [Frogner] Park. It's a superb sculpture park inhabited by eye-catching life-size statues created by one of the country's best known artists, Gustav Vigeland. The highlight of the park is a 20-metre-high obelisk with 121 clambering bodies representing the human life cycle.
Bygdoy peninsula is also not to miss. It features five great museums, including an open-air Folk Museum and Viking Ships Museum and a couple of the swimming beaches.
For observing the best view on the city, go to Holmenkollen, a hilly area in the outskirts of Oslo.
Art lovers would find it almost impossible not to drop at Munch Museum, dedicated to the most famous Norway's artist, best-known for his painting "The Scream". But due to world demand this masterpiece is often absent in the museum.
Well, we won't make secret of the fact that it's quite expensive to shop in Oslo. But try those shops lined along Karl Johans Gate, especially the pedestrian section. You will discover lots of souvenir stalls with lovely knick-knacks and fun buskers.
